Can ICC set a FAIR precedent ?

Of the eight decisions that were blatantly meant
to sabotage India's bid at victory, let the ICC
rescind just one - reduce Symonds' score to what
it was when he was first "dismissed" - with this
single ACT , the unfairness of the "final result"
will vanish and the " TRUE RESULT" will emerge.

But again, does ICC have the guts ? They have not
given any such indication till date !!

S.S.

Do a MunnaBhai ?

I have thought long & hard before putting this
suggestion on public domain :

When the Indian team plays at Perth in the 3rd
test - whether they bat first or second - they
should play just one over of the innings before
declaring.

This is definitely not against cricket ethics !

BUT -
This will ensure for Aussies the new record of
17 consecutive wins AND, will they ever dare to
bring that up in any cricketing conversation ?
.....I bet that Cricket Australia will request
ICC to declare this test as "unofficial" so as
to escape the permanent "historic humiliation"
that such an entry into the record-books will
definitely entail.

What's Happening to Cricket ?

SYDNEY Sunday, January 6, 2008

With the umpires hell bent upon AWARDING the current test
at Sydney to the home team, is there any point in playing on ?

Honestly, the Indian captain should have considered conceding
the match just as soon as Saurav Ganguly was given out after(!)
consultation with the fielder - Mr. Gavaskar is rightly fuming
from his position as a commentator, but does that help ?

And pray, with the ICC now headquartered in Dubai, why should
spectators not demand an immediate and "impartial" enquiry
into the BETTING ANGLE with a focus on the betting syndicate-
umpires' nexus or even the involvement of a few C-A and ICC
officials with the betting mafia ?

Certainly, there must be a whole lot of Betting Moolah that would
be currently riding on "Australia creating a New Record for Most
Consecutive Test Victories".

Why, oh! why must only the Asians and Africans be always forced
to come under the scanner ?
Talk of racial overtones ?
Sorry! I forgot momentarily that such accusations also are the
sole prerogative of the likes of Ponting, Symonds and Clarkes.

Please forgive me for my outburst -after all, it is ONLY a Game !
